How do I add motion to my video?

Learn how to use the "Add Motion" feature to bring your videos to life with dynamic movement.

Adding motion to your video is one of the most effective ways to enhance its visual impact and keep your audience engaged. CopyCopter makes this process easy and powerful by allowing you to apply AI-generated motion effects to your visuals. This guide will walk you through how to add motion to your video using the advanced AI tools available in CopyCopter.

Step 1: Start with AI-Generated Content

  1. Generate Your Visuals: Begin by generating your video content using CopyCopter’s AI tools. Instead of relying on external uploads, you can create stunning visuals directly within the platform, tailored to fit the theme of your video.
  1. Access the Video Editor: Once your visuals are ready, they will automatically open in the video editor, where you can start applying motion effects.

Step 2: Select the Visual Element to Animate

Before adding motion, identify the visual element you want to bring to life:

  • Choose the Image or Scene: Navigate to the timeline at the bottom of the editor and select the image or scene you wish to animate. Click on it to highlight it.
  • Preview the Scene: Preview the selected scene in its static form to understand how it will look before adding any motion effects.

Step 3: Applying AI-Generated Motion Effects

CopyCopter offers AI-generated motion effects that can transform your static visuals into dynamic video elements:

  • Click on the "Add Motion" Tab: In the top toolbar of the video editor, find and click the “Add Motion” tab. This will open up the motion effects menu.
  • Choose a Motion AI Model: You will have three AI model options for generating motion:
    • Normal (1 credit): A basic motion effect that provides safe and predictable results.
    • Advanced (3 credits): Offers more complex and dynamic motion effects, ideal for making your visuals more engaging.
    • Ultra (3 credits): Delivers the most advanced motion effects with high precision and detail, perfect for high-impact content. The Ultra motion effect in CopyCopter is designed to deliver high-quality motion, especially optimized for a 16:9 aspect ratio. However, it will seamlessly adapt to whatever aspect ratio you have set for your video, including 9:16 or 1:1. This ensures your video looks great no matter the format.
  • Select the Motion Strength: Adjust the motion strength on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is the most subtle and 5 offers more dramatic and unpredictable motion. Keep in mind that higher strength settings may introduce artifacts.
  • Apply Motion: After selecting your AI model and motion strength, click the “Apply Motion” button. Remember that applying motion effects will deduct the corresponding number of credits from your account.

Step 4: Fine-Tuning the Motion

Once the motion has been applied, you may want to fine-tune it for optimal results:

  • Adjust the Timing: Use the timeline to control when the motion effect starts and stops, ensuring it syncs with other elements like text and voiceovers.
  • Preview the Motion: Play back your video to see how the motion effects enhance your visuals in real-time.
  • Make Adjustments: If the motion doesn’t meet your expectations, you can return to the “Add Motion” tab and modify the settings as needed.

Step 5: Combine Motion with Other Effects

Motion effects can be combined with other visual enhancements to maximize the impact of your video:

  • Overlay Effects: Consider adding overlay effects such as Bokeh Particles or Light Leaks to complement the motion and add depth to your visuals.
  • Text: Animate your text overlays as well, making titles and captions move in harmony with your visuals.

Step 6: Finalizing Your Video

After adding and fine-tuning the motion effects:

  • Preview the Full Video: Watch your entire video to ensure that the motion effects contribute to the desired outcome.
  • Make Final Adjustments: If necessary, tweak the motion effects or other video elements to perfect your content.
  • Save Your Progress: Although CopyCopter saves your progress automatically, it’s good practice to manually save your project by clicking the “Save” button.

Step 7: Export and Share

When you’re satisfied with your video:

  • Export Your Video: Click the “Export + Share” button to export your video in the desired resolution and format.
  • Share on Social Media: Once exported, you can directly upload your video to platforms like TikTok or YouTube, showcasing your motion-enhanced content to your audience.

Conclusion

Adding AI-generated motion to your video with CopyCopter not only enhances its visual appeal but also makes it more engaging and dynamic. By choosing from various AI models and adjusting motion strength, you can create content that truly stands out. Remember, applying these effects costs credits, so choose the options that best suit your needs and budget. Whether it’s a subtle pan or an intense zoom, these motion effects can transform your video into a compelling visual experience that captivates your viewers.
